American Citizenship

[edit]

Hopkins has been an American citizen for many years. Is there a reason why he is not listed in any category as American? (Sellpink (talk) 05:11, 15 February 2018 (UTC))[reply]

I assume that's the only reason why the page is locked. You'll notice that virtually every Irish actor who holds American citizenship is listed as Irish and American or Irish American or American, yet whenever a British actor holds American citizenship they are listed as just British. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.19.67.166 (talk) 18:47, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Saoirse Ronan's page protected in record time because I edited the first paragraph to Irish instead of "Irish and American". No reply to my query re: Anthony Hopkins. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.19.67.166 (talk) 18:51, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hopkins left Malibu by 2021

[edit]

I just noticed that this article was never updated to reflect that Hopkins sold his older Malibu and Pacific Palisades residences in 2021, apparently because he had decided to live in another residence in Pacific Palisades. The news was covered at the time by numerous news sources, including Architectural Digest. Coolcaesar (talk) 17:12, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think that certainly should be clarified. His name has now just appeared, in various UK news bulletins, as having lost his home in Los Angeles, e.g. BBC and Hello!. Hello says: "His Pacific Palisades house, purchased in 2021 for $6 million, was meant to be a fresh start. The four-bedroom colonial-style home was a serene retreat, but now only a charred fence remains." Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:36, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In 1969 Hopkins portrayed the rebel leader Wat Tyler in the short film “The Peasant’s Revolt.” 75.187.186.172 (talk) 17:40, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any source? No mention at Wat Tyler. How short was it? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:55, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. PianoDan (talk) 19:35, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Picture

[edit]

The picture captioned 'Waxwork of Hopkins at Madame Tussauds, London', opposite the 'Artistry and reception' section is very dark. I had to put it on full screen to see if it was him.
If there is no way of lightening it, I would suggest deletion. RASAM (talk) 13:23, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, looks like Madame Tussaud hasn't paid her electricity bill. There's no mention of the model in the text, which suggests it may be a bit trivial? Martinevans123 (talk) 13:29, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
